Before going right into the list, some tips must be shared:
Each plant has different needs, don't expect all plants to be the same. Most need to be watered at specific time intervals. To know when to water your plant, you'll have to check the soil to see if it is damp or not. Some need even less watering and prolonging dry soil (or underwatering) is usually better than overwatering.
Do not use tap water if possible. Either use store-bought or leave water to dechlorinate for at least one day.
Do not expect plants to thrive or even survive near extreme temperatures, meaning intense cold or extreme heat. Obviously, no fireplaces or stoves allowed either.
Have patience! A lot of new plant owners expect a lot from their plants in just a few days.
Most, but not all, plants require a humid environment. Grouping them in the same place is recommended.
Although it is not needed, feeding plants (or fertilising) based on their blooming periods will let them grow beautifully.
Most if not all plants are poisonous to pets and kids so try not to leave them any near.
