Cedrus libani, also known as the cedar of Lebanon or Lebanese cedar, is a large evergreen conifer that belongs to the pine family. This slow-growing tree has a columnar form and can reach a mature height of 40-60 feet or even taller, with only one trunk and many branches that spiral up horizontally. The cedar of Lebanon tree is highly valued for its beautiful wood, which has been used for high-quality timber for thousands of years. It has great religious and historical significance in the cultures of the Middle East and is referenced in the literature of ancient civilizations. It is the national emblem of Lebanon and is frequently used as an ornamental tree in parks and gardens. With a maximum life span of over 1,000 years, Cedrus libani is a symbol of longevity and resilience.
