Paradisea liliastrum aka Paradise Lily

Paradisea liliastrum, also known as St Bruno's lily, is a stunning species of flowering plant in the Asparagaceae family. Indigenous to the Alps, the Pyrenees, and the Apennines, this clump-forming herbaceous perennial reaches a height of about 60cm. Its greyish-green grassy leaves and erect stems give rise to racemes of lily-like pure white flowers, measuring 4-6cm in length, that bloom in early summer. Not only is P. liliastrum a statuesque and elegant alpine lily, but it also possesses thin grassy leaves that emit a delightful fragrance. The bell-shaped flowers are white with green spots, making them truly enchanting. Additionally, this particular member of the asphodel family has the unique ability to self-seed, ensuring its population continues to grow and flourish.
