Annickia is a genus of flowering plants in the custard-apple family Annonaceae, subfamily Malmeoideae, within the order Magnoliales. Described by Setten & Maas, the genus comprises about 8–11 accepted species, all native to tropical continental Africa, ranging from West Tropical Africa eastward to Tanzania. A comprehensive revision of the genus was published in 2007 by Versteegh & Sosef. The genus was previously known under the synonym Enantia Oliv. Species are typically trees or shrubs of lowland tropical forests, though limited morphological detail is available in the sources consulted.

Distribution

Annickia is endemic to continental Africa, occurring from West Tropical Africa eastward to Tanzania. All species in the genus are confined to tropical African regions.
