Chamaenerion angustifolium, also known as fireweed, great willowherb, or rosebay willowherb, is a perennial herbaceous flowering plant belonging to the Onagraceae family. In Britain and Ireland, it goes by the name rosebay willowherb and also has the nickname bombweed due to its quick growth on bomb sites during World War II.
