Cistus creticus, also known as the pink rock-rose or hoary rock-rose, is a species of shrubby plant in the Cistaceae family. This evergreen shrub is highly variable in appearance, typically reaching a height of about 1.5m. It features small, wavy-margined, mid-green leaves that emit a slight scent. The flowers of C. creticus are highly variable in color, ranging from deep purple-pink to rose pink, and can grow up to 6cm in diameter with a yellow center. This species is often cultivated for its decorative qualities and is sometimes mistakenly referred to as "Cistus incanus," although the true Cistus × incanus is a hybrid of C. albidus and C. crispus.
