Luzula nivea, also known as snow-white wood-rush, snowy wood-rush, and lesser wood-rush, is a perennial plant belonging to the Juncaceae family. It is native to Southwestern and Central Europe, including the Alps and Pyrenees. This slowly spreading evergreen perennial forms a loose clump of narrow, dark green leaves that can grow up to 30cm long. In early and mid-summer, it produces lax clusters of small, shiny white flowers on stems that can reach a height of 60cm.
