Ranunculus platanifolius aka Large White Buttercup

Ranunculus platanifolius, also known as the large white buttercup, is a rare perennial herb that belongs to the buttercup family. It is typically found in the mountains of Europe and can grow up to 100 cm tall. The stem is glabrous and branches out, while the palmate leaves are divided into five segments with a dentate margin. The flowers are arranged in cymes, with each flower containing a calyx with five sepals, a corolla with five white petals, many stamens with yellow anthers, and many styles. As a houseplant, the Large White Buttercup requires regular watering and direct light, preferably within one foot of a window. It also prefers soil that retains moisture and does not require added fertilizers if repotted each time it doubles in size.
