Catolobus is a monotypic genus of flowering plants in the family Brassicaceae (mustard or cabbage family), order Capparales (Brassicales). The genus was erected by the botanist Ihsan A. Al-Shehbaz in 2005 and published in Novon (volume 15, page 521). The sole member, Catolobus pendulus, was originally described by Linnaeus — hence the species authorship "(L.) Al-Shehbaz" — and was historically placed under Arabis and later Arabidopsis before being separated into its own genus.
