Clypeola is a plant genus in the mustard family (Brassicaceae). Described by Carl Linnaeus in 1753, it contains nine accepted species native to a broad region spanning the Mediterranean Basin, Western Asia, the Arabian Peninsula, the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Pakistan. The genus is placed in order Brassicales (Capparales in older classifications). Among its known species are Clypeola jonthlaspi, Clypeola elegans, and Clypeola raddeana. GBIF records five descendant taxa. The genus is relatively poorly documented, with the Wikipedia article classified as a stub and no georeferenced distribution data available through GBIF.
