Teesdalia is a small genus of annual herbaceous plants belonging to the mustard family (Brassicaceae). The genus contains two to three accepted species, commonly known as shepherdscress. Plants in this genus are native mainly to Europe and the Mediterranean region, growing as low-growing annuals in sandy or disturbed soils. Like other members of Brassicaceae, they produce the characteristic four-petalled flowers of the family. The genus was named in honour of the English botanist Robert Teesdale (1740–1804).
