Commonly referred to as yamayuri, meaning "mountain lily," this deciduous, bulbous perennial reaches a height of approximately 100cm. It boasts strap-like dark green leaves and produces large, fragrant, bowl-shaped white flowers with a striking golden yellow central band and crimson-red speckles. These captivating blooms make their appearance from mid-July onwards. Lilies, including liliums, are tall perennials cherished for their elegant flowers and captivating fragrances.
