Eranthemum is a genus of flowering plants in the family Acanthaceae, within the order Lamiales. Described by Carl Linnaeus in 1753, the genus comprises 23 accepted species, along with several historical synonyms recognized under other generic names, including Citharella, Daedalacanthus, and Upudalia.

Species in the genus are native to tropical and subtropical Asia, with a distribution spanning the Indian subcontinent, Indochina, southern China, and the islands of Sumatra and Java. Occurrence records also place native populations in the Andaman Islands, Assam, Bangladesh, Cambodia, the East Himalaya, Laos, and Myanmar. Several species have additionally become naturalized well outside this native range, with introduced populations recorded in Florida, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Haiti, Jamaica, the Leeward Islands, El Salvador, the Lesser Sunda Islands, and the Marianas — a reflection of the genus's popularity in cultivation as an ornamental.
