Chaenostoma is a genus of flowering plants in the family Scrophulariaceae, placed within the order Lamiales. The genus is native to Southern Tropical and Southern Africa, where its species grow as small herbaceous annuals or low spreading perennials. Members of the genus produce small, five-petalled flowers and are closely related to the broader alliance of figworts and allies. Chaenostoma is a small genus containing only a handful of recognised species, including Chaenostoma cordatum and Chaenostoma hispidum. The species Chaenostoma cordatum has gained wider horticultural recognition and is commonly grown as a trailing ornamental, valued for its profuse small blooms.
