Growing up to 1.3m tall, this heavily branched plant features hairy, pale green, heart-shaped leaves that emit a delightful fruity scent when brushed or crushed. Its large magenta-pink flowers, reaching up to 5cm in length, are surrounded by a lime-green calyx. The entire plant is covered in hairs that release a pineapple-grapefruit fragrance. This species, first described in 1950, has gained popularity as a greenhouse plant. With its soft, fuzzy, light green leaves and intoxicating scent, Salvia dorisiana, also known as fruit sage, peach sage, grapefruit sage, fruit cocktail sage, or fruit scented sage, is truly a delightful addition to any garden.
